The BC OGRIS Board of Directors (Board) are not accepting unsolicited proposals at this time. The Board will revisit this decision on a quarterly basis and update as funding and research priorities change.
Solicited Proposal
The Board may solicit proposals for projects to address identified, high priority, knowledge gaps consistent with our funding priorities (as funding permits). These opportunities will be posted on this page.

Defining Alternative Leak Detection and Repair Programs for B.C.
- To identify and define the technical and regulatory parameters necessary to evaluate and enable equivalent alternative Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) programs in British Columbia (B.C.), with the goal of supporting more flexible, cost-effective, and operationally efficient compliance with fugitive methane emission regulations. Surface Casing Vent Flow Pressure Relief Device Study
- To assess the efficacy of burst plate installation with a focus on piping orientation, device geometry, and risk assessment to ensure reliable operation and methane emission reduction. Key goals include identifying optimal designs, assessing risks introduced by installation, and evaluating consequences of pressure exceedance or failure.
