Unsolicited Proposal

The BC OGRIS Board of Directors (Board) are not accepting unsolicited proposals at this time. The Board will revisit this decision on a quarterly basis and update as funding and research priorities change.

Solicited Proposal

The Board may solicit proposals for projects to address identified, high priority, knowledge gaps consistent with our funding priorities (as funding permits). These opportunities will be posted on this page.

Request For Proposals (RFP)—Upstream Electrification Enabling Project

The B.C. Oil & Gas Research and Innovation Society (BC OGRIS) is soliciting proposals to identify areas where electrification and potential generation may be suitable in helping to reduce emissions from oil and gas operations in northeast BC focusing on the Montney play region. The project, in conjunction with the Electrification Strategy Group (ESG) of the Ministry of Energy and Climate Solutions (ECS), and the BC Energy Regulator, will aim to collaborate with Treaty 8 Nations to develop spatial data, and mitigation approaches, on possible areas for electrification and associated generation.
