New Research—Upstream Electrification Enabling Project

BC OGRIS is providing a grant to Midgard Consulting Inc. to  identify areas for electrification and associated electricity generation to support emissions reductions from oil and gas operations in Northeast B.C. 

The goal of the project is to identify spatial priorities and management rules for electrification infrastructure (both where infrastructure/generation may be appropriate or where it may not be) to reduce cumulative effects.  

The project is anticipated to be complete by September 30, 2027.
