Final Report—Compressor Methane Slip Measurement Study

The final report from the BC OGRIS funded project to study compressor methane slip measurements is now available in the Methane section of the Completed Projects page. The project, undertaken by Montrose Environmental Group, at the request of the BC Oil and Gas Methane Emissions Research Collaborative (BC MERC), involved assessing an alternative compressor exhaust methane measurement technology against industry standard methods to validate the efficacy and accuracy of the alternative technology. The assessments were carried out over seven consecutive days involving 32 natural-gas engines across 19 leases in British Columbia's Peace River region. Findings are outlined in the Final Report.
